French marquetry chest of drawers, 18th century

One of the most beautiful chests of drawers we have had in our collection in the past 5 years. Probably made in the Dauphine region. Chests of drawers from this region are characterised by their simple, slightly curved design, often inlaid with different woods.

This example is made of pine and inlaid with mahogany and satinwood. A nice detail is that the top is inlaid with four hearts. Standing on black legs (presumably not original).

In very good condition. Very likely restored a few years ago.
