English military / campaign chest of drawers

Originally from England. This piece was used in the English army in the 19th century. It consists of two parts, typical of campaign furniture, so that it is easier to move to the next camp.

Made of solid camphor wood with recessed brass fittings. In the centre a fold-out desk function, with various drawers and compartments for storing writing materials or documents.

Beautiful original condition. The top is slightly greyed. Old sticker of a Brussels auction house on the back.
