English bureau bookcase, circa 1800
The piece consists of a lower section with three generous drawers and a fall front writing surface. Behind the writing surface is a practical interior with various small drawers, compartments and a central cupboard.
The upper section has two glazed doors with geometrically shaped glazing bars and several shelves for books or objects. The whole rests on simple bracket feet and has brass fittings.
Made of oak, with beautiful colour and patina. The piece is in very good condition.
