A 19th-century English oak desk cabinet. The piece consists of two sections; the upper section features two panelled doors, behind which lies a spacious storage compartment. The lower section features three drawers with brass handles and a fold-down writing surface. Behind this surface lies a practical interior with various small drawers and open compartments for storing documents and writing materials.
The cabinet is crafted from oak with a beautiful, lively grain and a warm patina. The understated design, moulded cornice and subtle details are characteristic of traditional 19th-century English cabinetmaking.
