Decorative wooden relief panel from the early 19th century, presumably of French origin.

The panel features hand-carved musical instruments, including a lyre, wind instruments and a drum. The design is executed as a so-called ‘musical trophy’, a decorative motif that was frequently used in classical European interior design.

The woodcarving bears an old polychrome paint finish in still vivid shades of red, green and gold. It was presumably originally part of a larger interior ensemble or wall decoration.

We can supply a metal stand at an additional cost, if required.
