Bust of Antinous

Bust of Antinous, made around the year 2000. Beautifully weathered and worn by the elements.

Antinous (circa 111 to 130 AD) was the beloved of the Roman emperor Hadrian. After his mysterious drowning in the Nile he was deified by Hadrian. His exceptional beauty made him one of the most depicted figures of antiquity and a lasting symbol of youth, love and idealised male beauty.
