A plaster bust of an Egyptian pharaoh, made around 1900.

The figure depicts a pharaoh wearing the traditional royal nemes headdress, adorned with an uraeus, the sacred cobra that symbolised royal power and protection. The face features stylised eyes, a straight nose and a subtle smile, characteristic of ancient Egyptian sculpture.

The bust is mounted on a round, moulded plinth and was presumably produced as a decorative cast based on an ancient Egyptian model.
