Pair of late Empire console tables
An extraordinary pair of late Empire console tables, circa 1840. We have not come across a set of such console tables before. The architectural influences recall the facade of a Roman or Greek temple.
Entirely mahogany veneered, with a white Carrara marble top. In very good condition despite their age. We bought them from a dealer in Florence, Italy, who bought them from a villa in Rome.
Dimensions: 159 L x 54 D x 98 H cm
