Set of two gilt bronze antique candlesticks

Very unique! These candlesticks strongly recall the Hollywood Regency style of the 1940s and 1950s because of their palm shape. But this set is a distant forerunner and dates from the early 19th century!

Gordon Getty (Gordon Getty Museum) owned the same candlesticks. Made of solid bronze with gilded elements including the pineapples and bananas. Please note: very fragile. Transport outside Europe is at your own risk.
