French chef d'oeuvre scale model
A French scale model, maquette or chef d'oeuvre. A chef d'oeuvre is a masterpiece that shows that the maker (often an apprentice or student of construction, woodworking or architecture) masters several complex skills in a single design. This was often seen at construction and woodworking schools, architecture schools, and restoration or furniture trade schools.
