Malachite chess set from Congo
A fantastic mid 20th century chess set, originally from Congo, Africa. Fully inlaid with malachite and white marble. Copper strips on the board.
We bought this piece from a Belgian man who worked in Congo for 25 years and brought it back to Europe. Generally in good condition, with a few small signs of use here and there. Two small chips on the pieces themselves.
Dimensions: 51 Ø x 8 H cm
